About us...
Cryo-Save specializes in the processing of cord blood and the preservation of cord blood stem cells scientifically based upon cryo-technology. The particular storage methods were developed through intense research and development and are internationally patented.
Cryo-Save is part of Cryo-Save Group N.V., which is a Dutch holding with affiliates and partnerships in 38 countries and 3 continents and a portfolio of more than 100.000 customers. The nominal capital amounts to more than five million Euros. Shareholders include an insurance company, Mercator NV, and a number of private investors.
Processing and preservation of cord blood stem cells takes place in modern laboratories nearby Brussels, Belgium. Additional laboratories are also operational in Bonn and Mannheim (Germany) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
Cryo-Save Arabia is the region’s first private cord blood stem cell bank. It was officially launched on September 12th 2006, by the UAE Minister of Health, HE Humaid Al Qutami at the Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park (Dubiotech).
Our methods used for the processing and storage of cord blood stem cells are identical to methods used by stem cell banks of public universities and hospitals. The main laboratory in Belgium has been accredited by the Federal authorities. The laboratory in Mannheim is operating according to GMP principles. In addition, Cryo-Save is also undergoing accreditation by AABB (American Association of Blood Banks).
For security reasons all stem cell samples are stored at two different locations. The research and storage facilities are supported by modern IT technology, operating in a highly secured and separately located data center.
